Alexander Ovechkin: Ice Hockey Career

Dynamo Moscow

Ovechkin made his first-ever professional debut in the Russian Super League.

Further, this debut was done in the 2001-02 season for the Dynamo Moscow club at 16 years old.

His debut was not that impressive as he just scored four points in twenty-one games. Nonetheless, he spent three seasons before getting drafted by the NHL in 2004.

Moreover, Alex was the first overall pick by the Washington Capitals. As a result, a lot of hype was created, waiting for his official NHL debut.
