Before playing Kabaddi professionally, Kumar joined Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) as a constable in 2005.

Pro Kabaddi League
The player played in Pro Kabaddi League as a player of both U Mumba and Jaipur Pink Panthers.
U Mumba
