Mocked the Canadian Military

Back on March 17, 2009, Gutfeld angered Canada in one of his episodes of Red Eye. 

He mocked the Canadian military by making a sarcastic comment to Lieutenant General Andrew Leslie.

Lt-Gen Andrew Leslie stated that the Canadian military might require a “synchronized break” after completing missions in Afghanistan.

To this, Gutfeld stated, “Meaning the Canadian military wants to take a breather to do some yoga, paint landscapes, run on the beach in gorgeous white capri pants.”

In addition, the other panelist on Red Eye supported Gutfeld’s statement.

Soon after, Canadian Defence Minister Peter McKay contacted Fox News and demanded an apology.
