In 2005, The AFLW star player began her state league playing career with the Darebin Falcons in the Victorian Women’s Football League (VWFL), where she captained the club from 2008 to 2016.

Daisy and Ben share the vows in the presence of family and friends in the month of Love in February 2019; she recently celebrated her thors anniversary.

Daisy, the synonym of professionalism and leadership with football knowledge, both on and off the field, has become a role model for current and future female footballers.

Recently, she joined the AFL Academy as a coach of its women’s program designed to “accelerate the next generation of female coaches” in Australian rules football, accepting a coaching position at Geelong as part of the AFL’s women’s coaching acceleration program.

Before her debut in AFLW, she graduated with a Bachelor of Nursing and Midwifery from La Trobe University, where she received a Distinguished Alumni award in 2019.

Following her graduation, she worked as a midwife at Box Hill Hospital and used to reside in Eltham. Later, Daisy and her family relocated to Porepunkah, near Bright, in October 2020.

The firefighter and Star player are the proud parents of twins Sylvie and Roy, who were welcome via a cesarean section.

Dasiy’s son was diagnosed with dextrocardia while she was pregnant. She began her AFL Women’s career playing primarily as a midfielder, with her average of 21.9 disposals per game in 2017 being the highest of any player. Daisy began playing as a defender after her return to football in 2020 after her maternity gap.

Daisy was born to parents Daryl and Dee in Bright, Victoria, on 27 May 1988.

After her parent’s separation in 1995, she lived with her father in Wandiligong, near Bright in the Alpine Shire area, and played junior football alongside boys as a child.

 Her father, Daryl, served as a Bright Football Club coach, allowing Pearce to begin training with the under-13 boys’ team when she was 8.

During high school, Daisy played netball, tennis, and volleyball, making a national youth squad before eventually picking up football again.
