Vetter started his career at the young age of 18 when he competed in the 2011 European Junior Championship. He ranked 12th in the competition with his 65.87 m throw.
Then in 2015, he also took part in the European U23 Championship, where he ranked in the 4th position.
The same year, he competed in the IAAF World Championship and was ranked seventh with a throw of 83.79 meters.
