Roger was born in Los Angeles, California. His mother’s name was Eloise Harris. On the other hand, there is no information about his father. 

Moreover, he grew up with only his mother. He and his mother lived in the Imperial Courts public housing in Watts.

In 1974, he again returned to TV. However, he still only did one episode for the TV series. 

Such series are Kojak, Kung Fu, Switch, McCloud, Baretta, That’s My Mama, etc. He also worked on a movie called Darktown Strutters during this time. 

This actor later returned to the film industry in 1976. This time, he got a leading role as Huddie Ledbetter in Leadbelly

In 1980, Mosley earned his first significant role. He was cast as Theodore ‘TC’ Calvin in Magnum, PI.

When the long-running Magnum PI ended, Roger had a hard time for around two years. 

Fortunately, in 1990, he landed another significant role. He portrayed the role of Michael Kirkland in the TV series You Take the Kids. 

In addition, he was in all six episodes of the show from 1990 to 1991. 

Roger followed this run with the role of Coach Ricketts in Hangin’ with Mr. Cooper. Additionally, he had a recurring role for ten episodes. 

Then, his dry run again started from 1994 till 1999. However, during this time, he guest-starred in shows like RoboCop, In the House, Women, Walker, Texas Ranger, etc.

In 1999, Roger landed a recurring role as Milt or Milton Johnson in Rude Awakening.
