At the age of 18, Travis made his debut by entering a competition in 2001. With his snowboarding skills and efficiency, he grabbed a lot of attention.

In the same year, he joined Superpark, organized by Snowboarder magazine. Likewise, his talent and proficiency could easily defeat the competitors and leave the audience in shock.
