Likewise, Christopher “C. J.” Henderson Jr., a cornerback with the National Football League’s Carolina Panthers, was born on September 30, 1998.

In the 2020 NFL Draft, he was selected ninth overall by the Jacksonville Jaguars after playing college football for Florida. He is a well-known personality for being a professional athlete.

On Monday, July 7, several years ago was the day Christopher threatened his wife. Then after coworkers called authorities to report that he was threatening suicide. Henderson had undergone a mental health examination before too.

After his wife Sheena called the police to report that he was threatening to commit suicide, the 37-year-old picked up his gun from the police storage facility, which had been kept since it was confiscated from him in May.

On Tuesday, July 8, Henderson went to the cancer clinic on Deaconess Hospital’s seventh floor, where his 30-year-old wife worked, and started shooting. 

The Spokesman-Review reported that he shot Sheena several times in the head and chest before turning the pistol on himself. Henderson had been in contact with authorities for at least two months before the murder-suicide. 

Cotton, a spokesperson of the police department, claims that Henderson’s wife called Spokane police on May 16 to report that her husband had a pistol and had threatened to kill himself or a police officer.

Police spotted Henderson in a park, where they persuaded him to get out of the vehicle and transport him to a nearby hospital for a mental health assessment. 

Henderson went from there three hours later, but the cops kept his gun.

Henderson attended Christopher Columbus High School and got his education in Miami, Florida, where he was born and raised. However, he has not provided much information about his parents.

He participated in both cornerback and running back for the football team of the Explorers, and as a senior, he received an invitation to play in the All-American Bowl. 

Not only that, he was a four-star talent who made an early commitment to play for the University of Miami before backing out to consider other opportunities. 

In the end, Henderson committed to play for the University of Florida by signing a letter of intent.
