On Saturday, December 24, 2022, a sad incident took over the Indian television world as 20-year-old famous actress Tunisha Sharma hanged herself on the set of the running series Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul in Vasai, Mumbai.
Her co-star Sheezan Khan, with whom she was in a relationship in the past, was taken into police custody after a complaint from Tunisha’s mother that he encouraged her to take her own life.
Is Sheezan Khan Jail?
Sheezan Khan has been arrested for the abetment to the suicide of Tunisha Sharma, who died on December 24, 2022, on the set of the television serial Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul.
On Sunday, December 25, Khan was taken into custody by the Mumbai police after an FIR was registered by Tunisha’s mother, Vanita Sharma.
She blamed the Jodha Akbar actor for allegedly encouraging her daughter to take her own life.
Police arrested Sheezan after registering a case against him under the IPC Section 306 (abetment of suicide).
According to Vanita Sharma, her daughter Tunisha and her ex-boyfriend Sheezan broke up 15 days earlier.
The Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul co-stars were in a relationship in the past, and things were good between them, but after the breakup, Sharma was distraught, which culminated in her taking a drastic step of taking her own life.
According to a police officer, Sheezan Khan was produced before a Vasai court, which sent him to police custody for further four days.
However, no official confirmation has been released on whether Sheezan was responsible for the suicide of his ex-girlfriend.

Sheezan Mohammad Khan is an Indian television actor best known for portraying young Akbar/Sultan Murad Mirza in the Zee TV historical series Jodha Akbar.
Khan was born in Mumbai, Maharastra, India, on September 9, 1994. He is the younger brother of actresses Falaq Naaz and Shafaq Naaz, who are television actresses.
Falaq played the character of Jhanvi Bhardwaj in the Colors TV serial Sasural Simar Ka, and Shafaq is known for playing Kunti in the Star Plus series Mahabharat.
The 28-year-old is a fitness enthusiast and a pet lover. He has also spoken at TEDxSFIT entitled “Our darkest times make or break us,” where he talked about his personal life and past struggles with depression.

Tunisha Sharma was an Indian television actress known for her role as Chand Kawar in the 2015 series Bharat Ka Veer Putra – Maharana Pratap.
Sharma was born on January 4, 2002, in Chandigarh, India. She made her movie debut as a young Firdaus in Fitoor and later played young Dia in Baar Baar Dekho. She was also seen as Mini in Kahaani 2: Durga Rani Singh.
On television, Sharma was known for portraying Mehtab Kaur in Sher-e-Punjab: Maharaja Ranjit Singh, Aadhya Verma in Internet Wala Love, Zara/Babli in Ishq Subhan Allah, and ASP Aditi Jamval in Hero – Gayab Mode On.
Recently, Sharma was the lead actress in the Indian fantasy series Ali Baba: Dastaan-E-Kabul, based on the Arabian Nights character Ali Baba.
She portrayed the role of Shehzaadi Mariam in the series, which saw her ex-boyfriend Sheezan Khan as the titular role of Alibaba.
Sadly, on December 24, 2022, Sharma committed suicide while filming the series in a studio in Vasai, Mumbai.
She locked herself in the washroom, and when she did not open the door, police broke open to find her hanging. She was taken to the hospital on Saturday night and was declared dead on arrival.
