Thomas Cloutier was born on 13th October of 1939. His full birth name is Thomas James Cloutier, but people call him T.J.

He was born and raised in Richardson, Texas, in the United States of America.

After quitting his job as a caddy at a golf course, Thomas started being part of the NL game at Palo Alto, later shut down by the authorities. 

Thomas has won almost sixty poker tournaments. In addition, he has won over a million US dollars just from his tournament winnings. 

He is the only player in the World Series of poker history to win three Omaha events. The events were Pot High Limit, Limit High, and Limit 8-or-Better High Low Split. 

Despite many great poker players originating from Texas, he has been ranked number one in his lifetime. 

In the past, there used to be 10k buy-in games every year. Thomas won three such events in a row in 1990-1992.

Though Thomas has never won the WSOP, he has been placed four times in the top five.
