His teammates and Seahawks players paid him respect before he left the field and was replaced by former starter Jimmy Garoppolo, who went 13 of 21 passing for 154 yards, finding the end zone both through the air and on the ground in San Francisco’s 27-7 win.
Garoppolo received the non-guaranteed $24.2 million base salary before returning as a backup on a shorter contract this season.

Trey repaired two injuries to Lance’s ankle, a fibula fracture, and ligament disruption, as per his team’s statement in surgery performed at Stanford Hospital.
According to NFL, San Francisco 49ers quarterback Trey underwent successful surgery on his injured right ankle. The team announced Monday is expected to be fully healed for the 2023 campaign.
According to sources, Lance was placed on injured reserve on September 21, 2022.
