Bryan Bresee, a defensive tackle for Clemsonsister, ‘s passed away from Cancer. On Thursday, Ella Bresee, 15, was fighting an aggressive form of brain Cancer, Bresee revealed on social media.

“I am positive that heaven has welcomed a lovely angel today. Ella bear, I love you forever and always,” the user wrote on Instagram.

She was honored during the Furman game on Saturday while Ella and the Bresee family were in Clemson earlier in the week. “Players and staff wore Ella Strong” T-shirts. Ella, whose condition worsened, could not attend the game and instead went back to the hospital in Washington, D.C., nearer to the family’s Maryland home.

“My lovely sister Ella, you never cease to amaze me with the fight you put up and the steady smile you maintained during this conflict. I never imagined I’d be saying goodbye to you now as I sat here, “Bresee composed.

“I want to thank you for making so many people, including myself, happy. You are the best sister a brother could ask for, and I am positive that heaven acquired a lovely angel today. I will always love you, Ella bear.”

These plans were altered when Ella, 15, who had been in town all week and addressed the team, experienced a “setback” last Friday that necessitated her visiting an area emergency room and being flown back to the Washington, D.C., region before last Saturday’s game at Memorial Stadium, according to head coach Dabo Swinney. 

We continue to pray for the whole Bresee family, Swinney stated on Thursday. “We are all incredibly grateful for the love and support that the Clemson Family and many others have shown us during this difficult time.

Ella was such a wonderful soul, and the Bresee family and everyone else who had the chance to get to know her will carry on in her memory. Today, I am stronger for having experienced Ella’s strength and courage.”
