From 2016 until 2019, Theresa Mary, Lady May, a British politician, led the Conservative Party and operated as Prime Minister of the United Kingdom. May has represented Maidenhead in Berkshire as a member of parliament since 1997 and had the role of home secretary from 2010 to 2016.

There is no information about may being sick at the moment. However, Theresa May, the brave Home Secretary, has decided to continue her political career after disclosing that her medical professionals have advised her to inject herself with insulin at least twice daily for the rest of her life.

Mrs. May, widely expected to succeed David Cameron as the leader of the Conservative Party, has Type 1 diabetes, which increases the risk of heart attacks and strokes. She now always has a needle with her. In an only interview with The Mail on Sunday, Mrs. May, 56, revealed her chronic illness and added, “It was a great shock and, yes, it took me a long to come to grips with it.”

May canceled her scheduled speech at the Conservative Party conference in 2017 after a bout of cough-induced vomiting. May was suffering from a heavy cold and stood in as leader while she recovered, but it seems that she has not fully recovered yet.

David Lidington, acting as prime minister during May’s absence, said his boss was suffering from a “heavy cold” and wished her a swift recovery.

According to The Sunday Times, a reference close to former Cabinet minister Nicky Morgan said she had “lost her voice.”

The same paper also reported that May suffered from flu-like symptoms and had been “struggling to catch up on emails and calls.”

Theresa May was taken ill at the Conservative Party conference on Sunday and was admitted to the hospital that evening. The prime minister went into A&E after complaining of chest pains, coughing up blood, and having a fit while campaigning with her husband Philip in Staffordshire on Saturday morning (September 28). 

May had visited residents at an old peoples’ home near Burton-on-Trent as part of her tour around the country before being taken ill again. Later that day in Birmingham where she was due to attend an event at Alan Turing Institute celebrating 100 years since Alan Turing’s birth.”

She may put in up to 18 hours a day as Home Secretary, but she is determined to carry on.

“My diabetes has no impact on how I perform my duties or what I do.” You just have to put your head down and carry on because it’s a fact of life.

She politely dismissed concerns about whether it may prevent her from fulfilling her goal of replacing Mr. Cameron and becoming Britain’s second female prime minister by announcing: “There is no leadership bid.” Long may he serve as our outstanding prime minister.

Mrs. May’s choice to be open about her diagnosis was somewhat influenced by remarks made about her two-stone weight loss.

She was taken by ambulance to A&E (Accident and Emergency), where she spent several hours before being released with advice not to travel by car for 24 hours.

A tweet by the BBC’s Laura Kuenssberg claimed that May had been left running off stage after suffering a coughing fit during her speech rehearsal earlier in the day. The prime minister’s doctor has since revealed that she has been diagnosed with flu-like symptoms brought on by bronchitis that required antibiotics treatment – however it remains unclear whether she will continue as Prime Minister or retire from office after this latest incident.”
