Previously, the actress was in a long-term relationship with Joe Appel. They dated for seven years, from 2009 to 2016.

Joe Appel is also involved in films – but behind the scenes. He has worked as a film editor, driver, and crew member for projects like Sesame StreetA Most Violent Year, and Broad Street Bullies. He is also a graffiti artist.

In 2009, Andrea Riseborough met the Idaho artist at a Woody Allen film premiere in Los Angeles. They immediately hit it off and exchanged numbers. However, after talking for long hours with Joe, she lost her cell phone.

To find Joe, Andrea even created a Facebook profile but failed to do so. She eventually found her mobile phone and got in touch with her American partner again.

The English actress even moved to Los Angeles to be with Joe. The pair lived together in the Los Feliz neighborhood of Los Angeles. Sadly, things didn’t work out, and the relationship ended in 2016.

Andrea was born in Wallsend, near Newcastle upon Tyne, but grew up in Whitley Bay. Born on November 20, 1981, she is 40 years old.

Andrea has a younger sister named Laura Riseborough. Laura is an aspiring actress who graduated from Newcastle Church High School on Tankerville Terrace in Jesmond and studied acting at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art and the East 15 Acting School.
