Early Career

But it wasn’t until he joined Kevin Martin’s super team in Alberta that he became a household name in curling.

However, Hebert, along with sweeping partner Marc Kennedy, did win his first Brier in 2008.

In addition, he won his first world championship title in Grand Forks, North Dakota.

Many consider Hebert one of the best sweepers in the game, and he has no problem expressing himself on the ice.

Household Name

From 2004 to 2006, Hebert was the lead for Pat Simmons, and he appeared in two Briers for Saskatchewan.

In addition, Hebert was the fifth member of Team Canada, which won the World Junior Curling Championships in 2003.

Hebert relocated to Alberta and briefly joined the John Morris team. Ben, on the other hand, later in the year joined Morris to play for Kevin Martin.

In 2007, he won the Canada Cup with his new team and finished fourth at the Tim Hortons Brier.

Hebert was a member of the Alberta team that won the Tim Hortons Brier in 2008.

Furthermore, as a member of Team Canada, he won the World Men’s Curling Championship in 2008.

Hebert served as Team Alberta’s Lead once more in 2009.

The team was crowned Tim Hortons Brier champions. In addition, the team set a new Brier record with 26 consecutive wins.

Hebert and the rest of Team Martin went on to defeat Glenn Howard in the 2009 Canadian Olympic Curling Trials Final.

Team Martin, along with Ben, then won The Players Championship to cap off an incredible 2009/2010 season.
