Westbrook is the eldest son of Russell Westbrook Jr. and Shannon Horton.

On November 12, 1988, he was born in Long Beach, California. His Father was also a former basketball player but was never seen professionally.

Beginning of Career

Since high school, Russell has started playing basketball.

Head coach Ben Howland of UCLA Bruins provided Westbrook with a scholarship for his statistics.
