.The tradeoff seemed to affect him negatively, as while he was in the Timberwolves, he had his record low points per game of 11.6. It resulted in him sticking with this team for only two years.

San Antonio Spurs

After this low point, he was traded into the San Antonio Spurs, where he once again regained his charm and started living up to his name once again.

He averaged a much lower point per game while with the Spurs, mostly due to him being a reserve player.

He had a score of 9.5 while with the Spurs and yet set many records, like being the reserve player with the most number of three-pointers in the tournament.

His later seasons were also hampered by an injury he sustained while in the United States Army. He missed an entire season from 1996–97 due to the injury.

Other teams

After 3 seasons with the Spurs, Person moved on to find a career with a few other teams, which led him to play a season with Charlotte Hornets Seattle SuperSonics.

He has a game score of 6.1 and 2.8 with Charlotte Hornets and Seattle SuperSonics, respectively.

Person took that as a sign, and soon his career as a player was at an end when the Los Angeles Lakers decided to waive him from their roster.

So he retired his jersey to his alma mater Auburn University and ended his career as a player.
