Laenor Velaryon’s death was a hoax since he faked his death.

Ser Laenor Velaryon was clearly aware that Rhaenyra and Daemon were plotting to “kill” him at the conclusion of the episode, as he would not have faked his own death if he hadn’t been a part of the entire scheme.

Laenor Velaryon did not die but merely gave the impression that he had perished in a duel with his lover, Qarl. Fans were also led to believe that Daemon hired Qarl to kill Laenor. 

However, it was all a ruse to make everyone believe he had been killed, as he used a false body and then fled Westeros with Qarl.

Laenor’s narrative is one in which all that mattered to him was being with someone he cared about. 

As a result, he was finally able to do so at the end of House of the Dragon episode 7, when he was allowed to spend the rest of his life with Qarl in the Free Cities.

What Happened To Laenor Velaryon In The House Of The Dragon?

Ser Laenor Velaryon, the eldest son of Lord Corlys Velaryon and Princess Rhaenys Targaryen, is one of the most charming House of the Dragon characters to viewers all over the world. 

That’s because Laenor is one of the few people who doesn’t care about power or authority, preferring to have fun and love whoever he wants to love.

But when Laenor was told to fulfill his duty to his family by marrying Princess Rhaenyra, the heir to the Iron Throne, he probably didn’t enjoy it.
