Michael McCorkle “Mac” Jones, an American football quarterback with the National Football League’s New England Patriots, was born on September 5, 1998 (NFL).

He participated in collegiate football at Alabama, winning the 2021 College Football Playoff National Championship.

It was while setting NCAA season records for passer rating and completion percentage as a junior.

Jones placed second in the voting for Offensive Rookie of the Year behind Ja’Marr Chase for his efforts in his rookie campaign, earning him a spot on the PFWA All-Rookie Team for 2021.

He became the fourth rookie for the Patriots and the first quarterback in the team’s history to be picked as an alternate for the 2022 Pro Bowl.

Is He Playing Tonight?

The New England Patriots, who are getting ready to play in their first preseason game of 2022, will take on the New York Giants in Week 3 without one of their most crucial offensive players.

According to numerous sources, quarterback Mac Jones will not play, allowing the team to highlight veteran Brian Hoyer and rookie Bailey Zappe.

Even though there will be no on-field action tonight, Jones will watch his teammates closely as they adjust to a new offense. 

The week ahead will undoubtedly see a lot of preseason action for Jones because of joint practices with the Carolina Panthers before their preseason game.

Due to his health issues and injury, he seems not to be playing this time, and his fans and followers hope for his grand entry after recovery again.

Mac Jones Sick: Injury And Health Update

Jones fractured a bone in his right leg during a scramble in the National Championship game between Alabama and Ohio State in 2021. 

Linebacker Pete Werner eventually picked him up after he tumbled forward.

 Jones did not miss any snaps and finally finished the game, completing 36 of 45 pass attempts for 464 yards and five touchdowns.

 The condition was attended to on the sideline, and Alabama’s athletic staff applied some ice to the leg.

Jones took part in the Senior Bowl but did not play in the game a few weeks after Alabama’s victory in the National Championship. 

Before practice on Thursday, his right ankle was already bandaged, and he subsequently seemed to hurt his left ankle while running a play. 

After missing a few reps and getting both of his ankles wrapped during a post-practice interview, he ultimately decided to skip the bowl game. 

Nevertheless, Jones seemed to be in top form throughout his Pro Day preparations in March.

Mac Jones’ brother’s name is Will Jones. They both appear to have a passion for football and sports and have a lovely brotherhood connection.

They have a sister as well, whose name is Sarah Jane. Sarah participated in the College of Charleston’s tennis program.
