Michael Schumacher Accident Update

The son of Michael Schumacher has offered a rare update. A heartfelt eulogy was given in honor of Mick, the legendary Ferrari Formula One driver and a great Father.

The tribute is planned to fall on the anniversary of Michael’s 2013 ski accident in the Alps. Mick updated his profile on social media today to feature his 9ofather holding him when he was a toddler.

On December 29, 2013, Schumacher was skiing down the Combe de Saulire in the French Alps above Méribel with his son Mick, who was 14 then.

He was wearing a ski helmet when he slipped and hit his head on a rock while traversing an exposed off-piste area between Piste Chamois and Piste Mauduit, incurring a severe head injury.

His medical professionals think he would have most likely died if he hadn’t been wearing a helmet.

He was taken to a hospital in Grenoble and underwent two surgeries there. Schumacher was placed in a medically induced coma due to traumatic brain injury.

By March 2014, there were a few encouraging signs, and by early April, he was gradually being brought out of the medically induced coma.

Felix Damm, Schumacher’s attorney, informed a German court in September 2016 that his client “cannot walk” in reaction to claims that had circulated since December 2015 in the German tabloid Die Bunte that Schumacher could walk once more.
