Three of Charles Manson’s sons exist. After Charles Manson wed Rosalie Jean Willis, a hospital waitress, in 1955, his oldest kid, Charles Manson Jr., was born in 1956. Manson was incarcerated when Charles Jr. was born because he had broken the terms of his probation by stealing a car and driving it across state lines. In 1958, Manson and Rosalie got divorced.

Charles Jr. changed his name to Jay White after his mother wed Jack White. Charles Jr. allegedly suffered from his association with Manson, and in 1993, he committed suicide. Charles Jr. Freeman’s son Jason stated to CNN: “He just wasn’t able to let it go.

He was powerless to atone. He was unable ever to pardon his Father.” After Manson passed away in 2017, Freeman received the rights to his grandfather’s remains and helped organize Manson’s funeral.
