People are curious to know about the young tennis player Sophie Chang’s boyfriend, as fans suspect she is in a relationship. 

Sophie Chang has won two titles after the first USTA Pro Circuit of the 2022 campaign.

At the ITF World Tennis Tour W25 event in Vero Beach, Florida, the 24-year-old American won the singles and doubles championships on Sunday. She shared the doubles victory with fellow countrywoman Allie Kiick.

The seventh-seeded Chang, a native of Havre de Grace, Maryland, won the clay court singles championship with a 6-1, 1-6, 6-2 victory over Belarus’ Vera Lapko in the championship match. 

She has won three sets in three of her five matches this week, including comeback wins over Eleana Yu and Reese Brantmeier in the quarterfinals and the round of sixteen, respectively.

Chang defeated Elvina Kalieva, the former junior world No. 9 18 years old, in the semifinals by a score of 7-6, 6-1.

She is now trying to work her magic at the Australian Open.

As of now, Sophie Chang is not seeing anyone. She is still young and very focused on her career. 

The American tennis player has been a very effective player at doubles. She is yet to work through the singles, as she is struggling through this hardship phase. 

Chang attained career-high WTA singles rankings of 274 in July 2018 and 136 in November 2018.

In addition, at the 2017 Citi Open, she made her WTA Tour main-draw debut in the doubles event, partnering with Alexandra Mueller.

Chang also has 14 ITF Circuit doubles victories, five of which he has shared with Mueller, and two solo titles.

Despite having a collegiate commitment, Chang became a professional in January 2016. Chang declared his intent to attend the University of Virginia and signed a national letter of intent.

In Chang’s opinion, it “seemed to be the proper choice.”

Chang nonetheless plans to continue his education. She claimed that since her parents had raised her to pursue a degree, she had always planned to do so.

Sophie Chang was born to her parents, Robert Change and Virginia Change, on May 28, 1997, in Baltimore, Maryland. 

Her parents seem very supportive, as they make time to be at their daughter’s matches. She had been supported by her father the most as he took her to every competition and the training session she went to. 

Chang left California early in September for her hometown of Havre de Grace, where she spent a lot of time preparing and imparting knowledge. Since the tour officially resumed in August, Sophie was deciding what it would do next.

There aren’t any tournaments she can participate in here, and traveling is tricky for Americans, but she did go and play; there was a chance she might go to Egypt and play in lesser tournaments.

During the 2020 shutdown, Chang practiced on a court on her grandmother’s farm; it is her second ITF singles championship, following her victory at an Orlando W15 event in 2018. She won her third doubles title in December 2019 and her eleventh overall.

Third-seeded in the doubles tournament, Chang and Kiick defeated No. 4-seeded Christina Rosca and Anna Sinclair Rogers in an all-American final, 6-3, 6-3.

The winners also defeated Quinn Gleason and Marine Partaud of France in the semifinals, 6-2, 6-2.

Following her successful week in Vero Beach, Chang, who reached career highs of No. 274 in singles and No. 136 in doubles in 2018, is currently ranked No. 391 in singles and No. 268 in doubles, respectively.
