withdrew and left for New York City, where a doctor discovered she had an immunological condition. Only after she persisted in fighting for her health did she find out she had RA.

In contrast to osteoarthritis, which is more prevalent and the result of body wear and tear, the disease does, however, frequently manifest itself in younger age groups.

Even though the precise etiology of RA is unknown, experts believe that genetics is most likely to blame. The diagnosis was a surprise to Wozniacki, but she subsequently acknowledged that she had been “suffering with these symptoms for quite a long.”
