Rachel Demy, a fine art and documentary photographer, was born in San Diego in 1982. She graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science in 2004.
Ben Gibbard’s second wife is Rachel Demy. They married in Seattle in October 2016.
This marriage came through after Ben’s divorce from popular actress Zooey Deschanel. Rachel and Ben earlier shared a professional relationship as well.
This professional relationship was during Ben’s stint with Death Cab for Cutie. During this time, Rachel was the band’s photographer as well as tour manager.
