As he started his amateur career in 2006, he started with a bang. He performed well in all his matches.

But it was around 2008 when he had a big breakthrough.

He was still playing for the Warwickshire academy, and around this time, he made headlines in the English newspaper.

Chris had performed so well in the 2008 season that he was the top wicket-taker and had the best average.
