Is Coolio The Rapper Father Of 10 Kids? Family Wife And Death Cause

On the family reality TV show, Rapper Coolio provided a glimpse of his life with his ten kids.

Coolio, best known for songs including “Gangsta’s Paradise,” “I, 2, 3, 4 (Sumpin’ New),” and “Fantastic Voyage,” died Wednesday in Los Angeles, according to TMZ.

The performer, whose real name was Artis Leon Ivey Jr., died while visiting a friend. The formal cause of death has yet to be determined.

Coolio sang the theme song of Nickelodeon’s Kenan & Kel, “Aw, Here It Goes!” He was also shown in the show’s opening credits.

The rapper gave the public an intimate glimpse into his personal life and the lives of his children through his reality TV show, “Coolio’s Rules.”

The rapper Coolio was born Artis Leon Ivey Jr. and grew up in Compton, California. He married Josefa Salinas in 1996, but they are now divorced.

He had Jackie, Artis, Brandi, and Artisha Ivey during this marriage. Coolio also has two other sons from a previous relationship, who chose not to appear publicly.

Artis Coolio, his eldest son, had a run-in with the authorities in 2012. On November 14, Artis was arrested for allegedly breaking into a Vegas condominium with a lady named Shantrice Wilkerson.

Before stealing the residence, the two pushed the renter into the bathroom with a revolver. Artis and Shantrice were accused of robbery with a dangerous weapon, first-degree kidnapping, and grand theft.

Milan Ivey, one of Coolio’s other sons, chose to follow in his father’s footsteps and pursue a musical career. Milan goes under the stage name Pharaoh Santana. After graduating from New York University, the young musician has performed at a few venues across the country.

In comparison to their siblings, his other children enjoy quiet lives. They haven’t had any high-profile controversies, and others have chosen not to appear in public.

Coolio Death Cause Revealed: What Happened To Him?

The rapper, Coolio’s manager, confirmed his death. The “Gangsta’s Paradise” singer died at the age of 59.

The Grammy Award winner (born Artis Leon Ivey Jr.) died while visiting a friend on Wednesday, September 28, according to his longtime manager Jarez Posey, who contacted TMZ and Rolling Stone hours later.

According to TMZ, the late rapper’s companion became concerned after the late rapper went to the bathroom and was out of commission for an extended amount of time. 

The anonymous companion ultimately stepped in and found Coolio lying on the floor after the music legend didn’t reply to his name being shouted.

The companion contacted 911, but the famed artist was pronounced dead at the scene. Paramedics listed a probable heart arrest as the cause of death, according to Jarez. 

An official cause of death has yet to be determined, and details about the events leading up to his discovery have yet to be revealed.

Coolio The Rapper’s Wife: Who Was He Married To?

Coolio was married to his first wife, Josefa Salinas, from 1996 to 2000.

Josefa gained popularity as a media personality on the California radio station KQIE-FM.

Coolio had four children with his ex-wife, three daughters, and one son. The rapper was alleged to have had multiple children with different women.

Mimi Ivey was the Fantastic Voyage rapper’s girlfriend at the time of his death. An episode of Celebrity Wife Swap showed the couple’s relationship.
