The report broke in 2016, then reappeared lately, alleging the action star had cancer.
Other celebrities who have fallen victim to online death hoaxes include rapper DMX, rumored to have died last month, and Star Wars actor Mark Hamill. They responded to the tale by Tweeting a false memorial photo of himself.
According to a recent poll done for the Celebrity Post, a huge majority (79%) of respondents believe the Henry Cavill death rumors are no longer entertaining.
