Franco was an Italian-born Belgian theater director. He specialized in large-scale shows and worked with Cirque du Soleil. He was also a colleague of Celine, who worked with her on her first Las Vegas residency, A New Day.

At the end of 2021, Celine Dion revealed she was not well enough to perform, owing to severe and persistent muscle spasms. She has since undergone treatment for it.

The 54-year-old pop star took a step back from the spotlight in 2021 end, postponing her Las Vegas show. 

In a heartfelt message, Celine wrote that she hoped to be well but must be more patient and follow her doctor’s advice. She also thanked her fans for all the love, support, and encouragement.

The singer also shared a touching message urging people to take care of their mental health and to “be kind.”

Her sister, Claudette, spoke to Voici, clarifying that her condition was sad but not something serious.

Amidst her ongoing battle with muscle spasms and throat concerns, fans quickly noted Celine’s drastic weight loss. However, Celine has assured fans that she has always been thin and nothing is wrong.

All the show cancelations, including North American and European dates, after COVID-19 saw the star losing more than $70.6M.
