In 2018, Jordan went on a strict diet and stopped eating everything besides beef, salt, and water. By April of that year, he went on the ‘lion diet’ (salt, water, and meat) and found it cured his depression, anxiety, fatigue, GERD, psoriasis, floaters in his right eye, and gum disease.
He started this diet after he found it to be having an impact on his daughter.
In July of that year, Jordan appeared on The Joe Rogan Experience, a famous podcast. He explained how watching his daughter’s health transformation had encouraged him to change his diet, ultimately leading him to exclude everything except meat.
The diet was so strict that any deviation from it was “absolutely catastrophic.” Jordan claimed that he didn’t sleep that month for 25 days. One surgery expert described it as a “terribly, terribly bad idea.”
