Tyrus is well-known for his time spent in Impact Wrestling as Tyrus and in the WWE as Brodus Clay.
Murdoch made his television debut in season 4 of WWE NXT, a WWE TV program in which several rookies were paired with WWE wrestlers to serve as their mentors, following a training session in the farm territories Deep South Wrestling and Florida Championship Wrestling.
