Ballas, together with his wife, BC Jean, is a part of the singer-songwriter duo Alexander Jean. Both of them became engaged in November 2015 after three years of dating. 

They got married on November 25, 2016, in Malibu, California.

His wife, Brittany Jean Carlson, better known by her stage name BC Jean, is a singer-songwriter and actor from the United States.

She is well recognized for writing and performing the song “If I Were a Boy,” which helped Beyoncé reach worldwide commercial success.

Mark Ballas Career Details Revealed

In South London, Ballas attended Rosemead Preparatory School. At the age of 11, Mark was accepted into the Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London on a full scholarship. 

Ballas won the Junior Latin American Dance Championship and the gold medal at the Junior Olympics with his former partner Julianne Hough.

He was the lead dancer in the UK national tour of the Spanish musical Maria de Buenos Aires and portrayed the lead role of Tony in the musical Copacabana. 

He was also the understudy for Ritchie Valens in Buddy, The Buddy Holly Story’s UK national tour. 

Ballas made a guest appearance on Samantha Who’s season debut in October 2008.

On September 6, 2016, it was revealed that Ballas would be the last actor to play Frankie Valli in the Broadway production of Jersey Boys before it closed in 2017. On May 26, 2018, it was reported that he would play the Teen Angel in the 2018 Toronto revival of Grease, which would run from June 7 to June 10, 2018.

Ballas was paired with Cheetah Girls star Sabrina Bryan on the fifth season of Dancing with the Stars. On October 30, 2007, the couple was voted off the show. They are the only couple who have been invited back for an exhibition dance.

Olympic gold medalist figure skater Kristi Yamaguchi was Ballas’ partner on Dancing with the Stars season 6. They were the season champions.

ABC announced the cast of the seventh season of Dancing with the Stars on August 25, 2008, with Ballas paired with reality television sensation Kim Kardashian. On September 30, 2008, they were the third pair eliminated, finishing in eleventh place.

For season 16, he was teamed with two-time Olympic champion Aly Raisman. Aly and Mark were allowed to become finalists since season 16 saw four couples reach the finals for the first time. 

For season 25, Ballas returned as a professional dancer and was paired with musician Lindsey Stirling. Ballas and Stirling advanced to the finals and finished second.
