According to sources, Matt Lucas is suffering from Alopecia.

The actor on his social media shared a post by a young fan who bravely posted a photo of himself having lost all his hair. Sources revealed that he had Alopecia since childhood and lost all of his hair at six.

He has shared his experience living with alopecia areata (hair loss). In a recent interview, Matt disclosed that he got diagnosed as a youngster.

The television personality began to lose his hair two years later, in 1980. Matt wrote, “everything and anything else that he was eclipsed by the fact that I was the little boy in town with absolutely no hair.”

Matt’s battle with Alopecia begins with discussing his journey in his memoir, Little Me. He explained that doctors initially believed the condition came from shock after he was “knocked down by a car” during a family holiday to Portugal.

The Great British Bake Off star learned to live with the condition as there is no known cure.

From 2012 to 2015, Matt Lucas lived with his Bridesmaids co-star Rebel Wilson in West Hollywood.

Matt Lucas lives in London. He was born on March 5, 1974, in the Paddington area of London.

The actor studied at Aylward Primary School and Haberdashers’ Aske’s Boys School. Later, between 1992 and 1995, he studied drama at the University of Bristol, although he did not complete his degree.

Matt spent time with the National Youth Theatre, where he met his future collaborator David Walliams. The actor has appeared in the music video, including the Damien Hirst-directed video for Blur‘s “Country House.

Matt’s family was Jewish; some of his mother’s family fled Nazi Germany just before the Second World War. He obtained German citizenship and collected a Certificate of Naturalisation from the German embassy.

The television personality’s autobiography, Little Me, was made available by Canongate Books. On June 7, 2018, the paperback edition was made public.
