The news of Shawn Johnson dad’s death has been all over the internet, but Doug Johnson is still alive; however, her father-in-law has passed away.

Shawn, a former American artistic gymnast, is married to Andrew East, a professional football deep snapper. 

It was Andrew’s father, ‘Guy East’, who was expired. The passing of Guy has left Shawn, her husband, and their family in despair.

Who Is Guy East? Shawn Johnson Father-In-Law Death Explored

According to TOPINFOGUIDE, Guy Madison East died abruptly on December 27, 2022.

He was together with his family for Christmas and kicked the bucket in the presence of his close ones on his warm bed. 

Although the cause of his death has not been established, it appears that he died naturally.

East was a devoted Christan who loved his family and cared for them throughout his life. He followed the bible, led an honest life, and made every effort to encourage others to follow the example.

He was a beekeeper, master craftsman, triathlete, author, innovator, coach, entrepreneur, and volunteer, which reflects that Guy truly lived life to its fullest potential.

Shawn Johnson and Andrew East are dynamic athletic couples whose love story isn’t less than a fairy tale. 

The athletic couple linked up when the gymnast was in London to serve as a sportscaster for the 2012 Olympics.

After getting to know each other, Andrew later flew to Los Angeles to meet her, where she was filming season 15 of ‘Dancing With the Stars.’

After their first date, Andrew proposed to her three years later. On July 24, 2015, they engaged at a Chicago Cubs game at Wrigley Field. 

The lovely couple got married on April 16, 2016, in Franklin, Tennessee, and have been residing in Nashville, Tennessee, since then.

Despite their happy relationship, the duo endured a challenging period after Johnson suffered from a miscarriage in 2017.
