What happened To Cecily Strong, And Where Is She Going?
Saturday Night Live has seen several beloved cast members depart this season, most recently including the long-running Strong.
Though her departure was mid-season, it allowed fans to spend more time with her before saying farewell.
Last season, famous cast members such as Kate McKinnon, Pete Davidson, and Aidy Bryant all left Saturday Night Live, likely to pursue other projects.
Strong may have taken a similar route, as her following projects will still involve producer Lorne Michaels, who works on SNL.
Cecily Strong is best known for her SNL comedy series. Still, her most prominent non-SNL comedy series role was in the Apple TV+ original musical Schmigadoon, where she co-starred alongside Keegan-Michael Key.
The show follows a quarreling couple stuck in a town with musical numbers straight out of classic movies. Strong is scheduled to return as the program has already been given a second-season renewal.
Season 2 will follow the reunited couple as they venture out of town and into a new musical world based on the hits of the 1960s and ’70s.
