On October 14, 2022, Robbie Coltrane died at Forth Valley Royal Hospital in Larbert, Scotland. He died at the age of 72. The cause of his death has not been officially confirmed.

The actor’s agent of 40 years, Ms. Wright, announced his death on Friday. However, she did not give details of how he died.

Robbie’s family thanked the Forth Valley Royal Hospital staff for their care. He is survived by his children Alice and Spencer and his sister Annie Rae.

The Harry Potter actor had been ill for the past two years. Robbie suffered from osteoarthritis later in life, requiring him to use a wheelchair and caused him “constant pain all day.”
