Liz Cheney is an aspirational American attorney who has also been a practicing politician. Rumors concerning her illness have been surfacing recently; let’s take a look at them.
Liz Cheney has served as the representative of Wyoming’s congressional district of the United States since 2017.
She has also had the third highest post in the Republican Party’s leadership by heading the House Republican Conference from 2019 to 2021.
Liz Cheney Illness
Conversations on Liz Cheney’s illness have been surfacing recently. The mother of five does not have any serious illnesses to be mentioned. The news regarding her ill health has surfaced due to the comments she made regarding the status quo of the Republican Party.
It is no secret that the American party’s leader, known for its more conservative stances, is not an admirer of the form of US President Donald Trump. After news surfaced that he might be interested in running for a 2024 campaign, Liz was surprised by the support Republicans were still willing to provide him.
Therefore Liz Cheney made a comment on August 21st that people still believed the lies perpetuated by Mr. Trump. She stated,
“I think it also tells you that large portions of our party, including the leadership of our party, both at the state level in Wyoming, as well as on a national level with the RNC, is very sick.”
Some suggest that the reason Cheney calls the support for Trump a symptom of the illness is because Trump endorsed candidate Harriet Hageman defeated Cheney in the primary. Other than her comment, her recent loss might suggest that Cheney might be undergoing a very stressful situation soon.
She will soon be forced to reassess her position in the Republican Party. Liz Cheney stood up against Harriet Hageman in the primary election for the position in the US House.
Cheney suffered a massive defeat from her opponent. Unofficially, the vote was 113025 for Hageman and 49316 for Cheney.
What’s next with Liz Cheney?
Liz Cheney has recently experienced what might be called a “landslide defeat in Wyoming. What is in the store for Liz Cheney is still a question. Needless to say, the Republic Party no longer has the same space for her as it did before.
Many sources say that Cheney’s constant criticism of the former president in a region where he was given an overwhelming vote was not observed well by the voters. Furthermore, some voters say that Cheney had nothing extra to provide other than her repetitive criticisms of Trump.
The data shows that at least 30,000 republican voters who did not vote in the 2020 election went to the polls to vote for Cheney put in the primary. This speaks volumes about Liz’s position in the Republican Party. It is safe to say that her political career has taken a fall for the worse.
She has been accused of making an election in Wyoming a proxy election for Donald Trump and ignoring the wants of the State’s voters. That was shown to be the reason why Hageman had such an easy win over Cheney.
Liz Cheney will now have to reconsider her work and position within the Republican Party or even consider other alternatives if she were to sustain her political career.
