Who Found Cameron Boyce Death First? Family, Death Cause: Seizure In His Sleep Because Of Epilepsy

People are still not over the sudden death of 20-year-old actor Cameron Boyce. The up-and-rising star is gone too soon because of an epileptic seizure in his sleep.

Cameron Boyce was an American actor. He started his career as a child actor, appearing in the films Mirrors and Eagle EyeGrown Ups, and Grown Ups 2.

His first major role was in the Disney comedy series Jessie. Cameron continued to work with Disney in the musical fantasy Descendants film franchise, in addition to various spinoff media, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.

Cameron Boyce parents are most likely the first people who found him dead on the morning of July 6, 2019. His parents had dinner with him and exchanged texts until 12.30 am.

“Somewhere between the last text he sent me and the morning, he was gone,” Victor shared with ABC News.

Cameron Boyce, aged 20, died in July 2019. He was unresponsive at his North Hollywood, Los Angeles, California home. Authorities arrived at his home and pronounced him dead at the scene. 

A family statement stated Cameron died in his sleep “due to a seizure which resulted from an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated.” Although an autopsy was performed, a cause of death was deferred pending further investigation.

On July 9, 2019, the Boyce family confirmed that Cameron was previously diagnosed with epilepsy and an epileptic seizure caused his death.

The autopsy results released by the Los Angeles County Department of Medical Examiner-Coroner on July 30, 2019, further confirmed Cameron’s cause of death as the sudden unexpected death of epilepsy.

The death came following the Descendants 3 premiere in 2019. Cameron posthumously headlined the 2020 thriller film Runt and was a series regular on the 2021 Amazon Prime Video supernatural thriller Paradise City.

Cameron Boyce Family: He Came From Mixed Ethnic Background

Cameron Mica Boyce was born in Los Angeles, California, to his African-American Father, Victor Boyce, and Jewish mother, Libby Boyce.

His paternal grandmother, Jo Ann Boyce, was African-American, while his paternal grandfather was from the Caribbean. Hence, he had Afro-Caribbean and African-American descent.

Cameron Boyce grew up in Los Angeles with his parents and his younger sister, Maya Boyce. He later moved in with former co-stars Karan Brar and Sophie Reynolds in May 2019.

The talented American actor was also good at dancing and trained in breakdancing, hip-hop, modern dance, tap dance, ballet, and jazz. His favorite was breakdancing, and he was a member of the breakdancing crew X Mob with four of his friends.

Born on May 28, 1999, Cameron was 20 when he passed away. He took his last breath in his native place Los Angeles, California.

At only eight years of age, Cameron made his on-screen debut in Panic! At The Disco’s That Green Gentleman video, playing the young guitarist Ryan Ross. His first recurring role came on General Hospital: Night Shift as Michael ‘Stone’ Cates Jr.

Later, he appeared in the mystery-thriller film Eagle Eye, starring Shia LaBeouf. Cameron’s biggest movie break was in Grown Ups, portraying Adam Sandler’s spoilt son Keith. He reprised the role in the 2013 sequel.

Further, the year 2011 marked the beginning of Cameron’s Disney career with plentiful series and movies with the network, including Descendants trequel, Jake and the Never Land Pirates, and Gamer’s Guide to Pretty Much Everything.

Cameron’s final two works were HBO’s Mrs. Fletcher and Amazon Prime’s Paradise City – which aired in 2019 and 2021 (posthumously).
