Anthony Varvaro Accident Details Updated

Anthony Varvaro, a former major league Baseball pitcher, died on September 11, 2022. According to the cops, Anthony died in a wrong-way collision after leaving the pitch to become a Port Authority police.

According to a Port Authority source, Anthony was on his way to work at the World Trade Center commemoration of the 21st anniversary of the 9/11 terror attacks when he died.

Anthony was killed in a head-on collision on the New Jersey Turnpike near Exit 14-C near Jersey City.

Cops confirmed that the car that hit Anthony was traveling in the opposite direction at the time of the accident.

The Port Authority Police Benevolent Association president, Frank Conti, stated that the union was “shocked and grieved” by the veteran officer’s terrible demise.

He claimed that Anthony’s life was taken from them as he prepared to remember the 37 Port Authority police officers who died in the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001.

In a joint statement, PA Chairman Kevin O’Toole and Executive Director Rick Cotton noted that the Port Authority family was heartbroken to know of Officer Anthony Varvaro’s tragic death.
