She shared that she and Riley met through mutual friends. They were pretty private until Carly kissed Riley on national television after winning Female Vocalist of the Year at the 2021 CMA.
The two have been slightly more public about their relationship after the awards. The pair constantly share pictures of each other on Instagram, and Riley accompanies his lady love to more award shows and events, including the 2022 ACM and CMT Awards. They also exchange heartfelt birthday wishes for each other on social media.
Riley, an MLB player-turned-realtor, grew up in Missoula, Montana, but currently lives in Nashville, Tennessee. He is a co-founder of the realtor group Cowan King Group with his business partner Craigs Cowan.
Carly Pierce Was Married To Michael Ray
Carly Pearce married fellow country singer Michael Ray in 2019. She first confirmed that she was dating the artist in July 2018. She revealed to Taste of Country that she met him after posting comments on his Instagram account.
The duo became engaged on December 19, 2018, after Michael proposed to Carly at a beach resort in Tulum, Mexico. Carly’s family was also present during the vacation.
Subsequently, the two wed on October 6, 2019, on a Nashville-area farm in front of about 100 family members and friends. After nearly eight months of marriage, Carly filed for divorce from Michael.
“This was a hard decision. It wasn’t something she wanted to have to do,” a source close to Carly told People. The source added that it was not a quarantine realization but instead a last resort.
Michael, 30, and Carly, 32, had last appeared in public together on June 6, 2020, when they both performed without a live audience at the Grand Ole Opry.
