She leaves behind one child and a devastated fanbase. The day started just like every day as Lucy John mounted her bike as she had done for so long.
But she had no idea it would be the last ride of her life as an accident in Bridgend took her life.
A cyclist remembered as a warrior princess who “gave her heart and her into all she did” has received tributes. Tragically, triathlete Lucy John, 35, was out biking at the time of the weekend collision near Bridgend.

During a morning bike ride, a mother and triathlete were struck by a car and died, prompting a Police plea to identify the driver.
Mother-of-one Lucy John passed away on Sunday at 9:10 am after a black Honda Civic struck her motorcycle on the A48 in Laleston, Bridgend, south Wales.
The 35-year-old, whom acquaintances said to have a “wonderful spirit,” belonged to the Pen-Y-Bont triathlon club in Bridgend and had just finished an Ironman race.
Currently, South Wales Police is looking for anyone who saw the collision. According to a spokeswoman, a black Honda Civic struck a bicycle.
Despite the best efforts of bystanders and emergency personnel, the rider, a 35-year-old Bridgend lady, was transported to the hospital, where she sadly passed away from her injuries.
The Bridgend resident, 35, was riding a bike when she collided with a black Honda Civic, which is when she was injured and later died in the hospital. South Wales Police are now seeking information.
People from all around the world are currently praying for the strength of Lucy’s family. Since she was a mother to a child, the case is especially depressing as the child will have to grow up without a mother.

Lucy John’s family is in a state of grief as they have lost a dear one. At a young age, she had to lose her life. If there was a silver lining, it was that Lucy was doing what she loved when she passed away.
She was mounted on a bike when the accident happened. She was alive when they took her to the hospital, but her injuries were too big for her to live through.

“I want to thank the community members who helped at the site and their patience while the road was stopped while we conducted our investigations,” DC Alun Efstathiou continued. At this time, my thoughts are with the deceased’s family.
Anyone at the scene or who had any idea about what happened that morning is advised to come forward. Police are rushing to catch another person in question, and they would love to get any help.
Lucy was a keen cyclist, and much of her life was spent learning and trying to better herself in the art. Even on her last day, she went out doing what she loved, cycling.
It is going to be especially hard for her child to go through. Losing a mother at such a young age is always hard, and the rest of the family will come to the young one’s aid.
