As reported by Daily Mail, Kate – an English broadcaster and Journalist – said that there is no end point to Derek’s care. She also admitted it could be exhausting for those around her.

In August 2022, Derek Draper was rushed into hospital after developing sepsis. Kate’s spouse was also diagnosed with kindy infection.

While discussing Draper’s current health status with Lorraine, Kate said, “oh, I mean, you know, it’s a long onslaught.”

The Journalist added her husband has good days and bad days. Thankfully, he is currently at home, and it was hard to battle getting him back home.

In March 2020, Derek Draper was rushed to the hospital after he tested positive for coronavirus. The former lobbyist’s health deteriorated, and he entered a coma.

Since then, it has been a long battle. The former lobbyist’s spouse has been by his side and taking care of him.

The broadcaster won the National Television Awards for authored documentary “Caring For Derek” in 2021 and 2022.

While accepting the award last year, the broadcaster said her husband is continuing to fight.

Derek Draper and Kate Garraway tied the knot in 2005 in Camden, London.

Before that, the broadcaster married the former Meridian boss Ian Rumsey from 1998 to 2002.

The Draper-Garraway couple has two children. Darcey Mary Draper is the eldest child of the married duo whom they welcomed on 10 March 2006.

William Garraway Draper is the family’s youngest member, also known as Billy. He was born on 28 July 2009.

The Draper-Garraway couple’s daughter and son occasionally appear on their mother’s Instagram feed.

Who Is Derek Draper?
