He also said on the show that he never intended to marry Simmons in the first place. In a 2013 interview with VladTV, she discussed her time on the program as DMX’s wife and how his insults affected her.

He appears to have planned to do so, as he was engaged to Lindstrom before his death. Lindstrom and DMX have one kid together, and Lindstrom prefers to keep a quiet profile.

Simmons also spoke out following his death. On April 10, 2021, she posted a sweet slideshow to Instagram commemorating her relationship with DMX.

Arnett was 19 years old when she gave birth to him. She already had a two-year-old daughter named Bonita and another daughter named Shayla when he was born.

At the time of his son’s birth, his Father, Joe, was only 18 years old and reportedly did not want to be involved in his son’s life.

Things did not improve as he grew older: he was expelled at ten for fighting and hurling chairs at teachers and later arrested for arson and assault.

He spent his first 18 months away from his mother and sisters at the Julia Dyckman Andrus Memorial Children’s Home in Yonkers, which is only 20 minutes away.
