Michael Ryan Flatley is a dancer from Ireland. In Irish dance shows, he was in Riverdance, Lord of the Dance, Feet of Flames, and Celtic Tiger Life. He was diagnosed with a rare liver condition called primary sclerosing cholangitis (PSC).

Flatley’s shows have seen over 60 million people in 60 countries and grossed over $1 billion.

Flatley has been diagnosed with a rare illness that has left him bedridden and in constant pain. This news has devastated the performer who has spent his life dancing.

 In 2010, he was diagnosed with a rare genetic condition called Factitious Disorder by Proxy (FDP). The disease caused him to experience fatigue, fainting, and weight loss. 

Despite his health scare, Flatley continued to perform and even started a new show called Lord of the Dance: Dangerous Games.

Michael Flatley’s Health Update

Since his diagnosis, Michael Flatley has had to fight his illness and regain his health.

 He has made significant progress and is now on the road to recovery. 

The dancer is taking a break from performing to focus on his health, but he plans to return to the stage soon. In the meantime, he enjoys spending time with his family and friends.

Where Is Irish-American Dancer Now?

As of 2021, Michael Flatley is still alive and well. The Irish-American dancer and choreographer are best known for his work on the Riverdance and Lord of the Dance shows. In recent years, he has been touring with his latest show, Celtic Tiger Live.

He spent much of lockdown at Castlehyde, the sprawling mansion in Cork that he bought in 2001. In 2006 he wed former dancer Niamh O’Brien there; it was his second marriage and produced his son Michael Junior, 14. 

 He has been with his family and friends and getting better through many medicinal and other factors. The dancer has called better as in 2021, and the dancer would continue to take a break from dancing and focus on his health and get better.
