MN Arrested: The Surabaya Police Have Charged A Man Buying An Infant Through Instagram

MN was Arrested for allegedly purchasing an infant on Instagram. Five persons have been detained in the child trafficking network thus far. 

On Sunday, MN was arrested at his home on Jl. Karah in the Jambangan district of Surabaya, East Java. He was discovered to have paid Rp 3.8 million (US$250) for a three-day-old baby boy.

MN Arrested: Did Surabaya Police Charged A Man Buying An Infant Through Instagram?

Yes, Surabaya Police have detained a man simply identified as MN for allegedly purchasing an infant on Instagram. 

Surabaya police commander Sr. Comr. Rudi Setiawan recently stated that the transaction occurred on September 23 in Semarang, Central Java. Tangerang, Banten, is where the baby’s parents dwell.

Alton Phinandita Prianto, the administrator of the Instagram account @konsultasiprivat, supported the child trafficking deal. Alton, who has been listed as a suspect, used the account to link possible vendors and purchasers.

Five persons have been detained in the child trafficking network thus far. They will face charges under Article 83 of Child Protection Law No. 35/2014, which carries a maximum sentence of 15 years in prison. 

What Happened To The Man? Alton Middle-Man Revealed

The cops discovered two of them after investigating each one individually. Alton was not only a middleman in selling two babies from Tangerang and Surabaya but also allegedly involved in selling babies from Malang.

Where Was MN Arrested From?

Mn was apprehended at his residence on Jl. Karah in the Jambangan area of Surabaya’s east. Surabaya Police have detained a guy only identified as MD for allegedly purchasing an infant on Instagram. 

The Police have not revealed much more information about the individual. The person’s name should be public so that his data can be identified.
