Taylor Robertson Age Gap And Family Ethnicity
Taylor Robertson is of white ethnicity. Taylor developed a keen interest in basketball while waiting on the sidelines to watch her father instruct or her older cousins play.
She tried to imitate what she had seen on the court. When Taylor went to a toy store, she only wanted a ball.
She would spend hours in the YMCA gym with her father. The form was paramount from the start. But the ball was never thrown. Taylor first made an effort to connect with the net.
Once she had done that, she moved on to the rim and the backboard. She made her first basket at age 6. Her fixation on the game impacted every aspect of her life.
She used basketball as a creative and communicative tool in her academic work. After seeing how her younger brother’s nursery was decorated, Taylor convinced her parents to decorate her room with an Oklahoma Sooners theme.
Basketball posters are still attached to the walls of her bedroom in Kansas, which is painted crimson and cream.
Before determining where she would play collegiate basketball, Robertson was open to other options, but Oklahoma lingered in the back of her mind. Her grandfather was a devoted Sooners fan, and the family has continued this tradition.
Robertson, a junior in high school, decided as she awaited word from her former coach Sherri Coale during a tournament week.
Before hearing the call, she went inside the loudly-musical hospital room where her father was being treated.
He was playing “Boomer Sooner,” the fight song of Oklahoma. Robertson can still picture the moment.
