Robeilys Peinado was born on 26th November 1997 in Caracas, Venezuela.

Her birth name is Robeilys Mariley Peinado Méndez. Her father’s name is Robert Peinado whereas and her mother’s name is Maurilys Mendez.

Robeilys Peinado got her name as a mix of both her parents’ names Robert and Mauliys. 

As a child, she used to be a gymnast. Also, at just three years old, she began to do gymnastics and was very athletic.

However, at age 12, she started doing pole vault since her long height made it difficult for gymnastics. Even more, she felt it difficult to continue with the sport with the asymmetric bars.

Her interest in pole vault started after she learned to run with the pole and also without it.

Eventually, the athlete understood the game, and only after four months of practicing, she jumped 3.40 m. After that, her coach Faneyth followed a natural pace to train Peinado. 

He adopted the step-by-step process, and soon she shined at pole vaulting.

As for her high school graduation, she enrolled at Universidad Deportiva del Sur. Also, she attended U.E.T.D Liceo in Caracas, Venezuela.

Robeilys Peinado is professionally an athlete who specializes in pole vaulting.
 
Currently, she is in the OSOT Szczecin Club and is coached by Vyacheslav Kalinichenko.
 
In her short career, Peinado has proved to be an asset in the Venezuelan pole vault team. Her achievements as a pole vaulter are praiseworthy. 
 

During her career, she has won three gold, three silver, and one bronze medal.

In 2017 she won the bronze medal at the World Championship in London with a record of 4.65 meters.

Peinado shared her bronze medal with Cuban pole vaulter Yarisley Silva. Both had the same jump during the championship.

Moreover, the pole vaulter qualified for the finals during the 2019 Doha World Cup.

Later in the 2020 Gala del Castillo Meet, the athlete broke her record by jumping 4.35 meters.

Also, Peinado has participated in indoor competitions like the Czech Indoor Gala and Meeting Hauts de France Pas de Calais.

There she set huge indoor records like 4.62 m & 4.78 m, respectively.

Recently she participated in the 2020 Olympics games held in Tokyo, Japan. Peinado shared this huge news with her fans through Twitter after qualifying for the games.

In the preliminaries round, she scored a massive score of 4.55 meters. It was an achievement in itself as it was her best performance.

She happily tweeted, saying she is still dreaming as the news of her reaching the Olympics final seemed like a dream.

Meanwhile, this was her first time entering the Olympics as a pole vaulter. Back in the 2016 Rio Olympics, she couldn’t participate due to her injury.

So, this was her chance to compete to grab her hands on the gold medal.

However, Peinado ranked eighth in the 2020 Tokyo Olympics with a score of 4.50 meters.

During the 2013 World Youth Championships under 18, Robeilys won a gold medal.

Also, at the South American Championships in 2015 & 2017, Peinado received two gold medals.

Similarly, the athlete won three silver in the 2014 Youth Olympic Games, 2014 South American Games, and 2016 World Junior Championships.

Also, she managed to take home a bronze medal in the 2017 World Championships in London.

In August 2016, Peinado got injured some days before the Rio Olympic games.
