On October 28, 2018, the Nevada Highway Patrol (NHP) received multiple reports of a red Cadillac, owned and driven by Bonnar, driving recklessly and making unsafe lane changes.
When they arrived on the scene, they saw that Bonnar had his hands tied to the inside car handles, presumably to try and flee the location of the accident.
This exchange was recorded on the officer’s body cam and broadcasted on PD Cam’s season 4. Officers also noted that they could smell alcohol on Bonnar’s breath and in his car.
