The episode details the death of Jeffrey Dahmer’s deaf victim, Tony Hughes, age 31, on May 24, 1991, who became Dahmer’s 12th victim.
A buddy last saw him at the Milwaukee gay nightclub Club 219 on the day of his death. He had returned to the city to see his family after being reported missing on May 31, 1991.

In 1991, after human remains had been discovered in Jeffrey Dahmer’s Milwaukee apartment, Barbara Hughes-Holt, Hughes’ sister, also spoke to The Associated Press before Hughes was found and identified.
It’s frightening, Hughes-Holt remarked. “It’s terrible just to think that one of those bodies could be my brother.” She added that after the remains were found, Hughes’ family members waited by the phone in the hope that he may be among them.
