Akhilesh Yadav, an Indian politician who served as the 20th Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh. He is the national president of the Samajwadi Party. He is the youngest to hold the office, having taken office on March 15, 2012, at 38.

Yadav received his early education at a local school in Saifai, followed by one in Etawah town. He attended Dholpur Military School in Dholpur, Rajasthan, before attending JSS Science and Technology University and earning his Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Civil Environmental Engineering. Yadav also has a master’s degree in environmental engineering from the Australia’s University of Sydney.

Yadav was trained by leaders such as Ram Manohar Lohia and Raj Narain before being elected to the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Assembly in 1967. Yadav was there for eight terms. Yadav was arrested and held in custody for 19 months during Indira Gandhi’s Emergency in 1975.

In 1977, he was appointed state minister for the first time. Later, in 1980, he was elected president of the Lok Dal (People’s Party) in Uttar Pradesh, which merged with the Janata Dal (People’s Party). He was elected leader of the opposition in the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council in 1982 and served until 1985. Yadav founded the Krantikari Morcha Party after the Lok Dal Party split.

On July 1, 1973, he was born in Safai, Etawah District, Uttar Pradesh. He is the son of former Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Mulayam Singh Yadav. His mother’s name was Malti Devi. Mulayam Singh Yadav founded the Samajwadi Party, and Akhilesh Yadav is also a member. 

Malti Devi was a famous Indian woman who was the first wife of the Indian politician ‘Mulayam Singh Yadav. She passed away in 2003 after a lengthy illness. Akhilesh Yadav’s mother is an Indian politician.

Malti Devi gave birth to Akhilesh Yadav in 1973, and she has been in a vegetative state since then due to complications.

The couple has two daughters, Aditi and Tina, and a son, Arjun. Akhilesh Yadav is a professional engineer, agriculturist, and sociopolitical activist. He enjoys sports, particularly football and cricket. His favorite activities include reading, listening to music, and watching movies.

Akhilesh Yadav And Mulayam Singh’s Net Worth

During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Mulayam Singh Yadav filed an affidavit in which he disclosed his assets. His net worth was estimated to be around Rs 16.5 crore. 

According to this affidavit, Mulayam Singh Yadav’s assets were Rs 16,52,44,300. Along with this immovable property, he claimed that his wife, Sadhna Yadav, earned Rs 32.02 lakh yearly. 

The leader’s assets totaled Rs 20,56,04,593, while his liabilities totaled Rs 2,20,55,657.In the affidavit, Mulayam Singh Yadav stated that he did not own a car and had borrowed Rs 2,13,80,000 from his son Akhilesh Yadav.
