Singer-turned-politician Bobi Wine has shown inclinations towards both Christian and Muslim religions.

Robert Kyagulanyi Ssentamu, better known by his stage name Bobi Wine, is a Ugandan politician, singer, and actor.

Bobi is a former Parliament member and the political Party National Unity Platform leader. He contested and lost in the 2021 Ugandan presidential election against the incumbent, Yoweri Kaguta Museveni.

The Ugandan first rose to fame in the early 2000s with his music career. He released several hit singles that made him a household name in the East African music scene.

Born on February 12, 1982, Bobi Wine is now 40. He is known to have a constant tussle with the government, and they placed him under house arrest on December 14, 2021. He has continuously protested his arrest.

From his Twitter, we can see that Bobi is now free. Although difficult, he has arrived in Dubai to do a charity concert. Bobi also continues with his political career and says he is working “day and night” to see the end of President Yoweri Museveni’s rule.

Bobi Wine is the son of his Father, Jackson Wellington Ssentamu, and his mother, Margaret Nalunkuuma. Margaret was the breadwinner of the family, and she worked as a nurse. Bobi was born in Nkozi Hospital in Nkozi, Mpigi District of central Uganda, where his mother worked.

His parents have regrettably both passed away. His father lost away from diabetes in 2015, while his mother perished in a vehicle accident in 1997.

Bobi has two siblings: brothers named Eddy Yawe and Mikie Wine. Their parents raised the boys in the Kamwokya slum in the northeastern part of Kampala, the capital of Uganda.

Bobi is well-educated. He graduated from Kitante HS in 1996 and Kololo Secondary School in 1998. Then, he graduated with a diploma in music, dance, and drama from Makerere University in Kampala in 2003. Bobi also studied law at the International University of East Africa in 2016.
